Georgina & Hamish Wallace

Hamish and Georgina undertook ownership of Trefusis in 2007.
Georgina’s focus is her Fine Wool Merino & Poll Merino Stud while Hamish is responsible for overall farm management and the running of the 13,000 composite ewes,

Andrew Calvert
Stud Classer Trefusis.

Andrew is a Wool and Livestock Consultant for Wool Solutions Pty Ltd, a Tasmanian owned and operated wool services business founded by two of his sons Alistair and Rob. He works with several prominent Merino Studs and some 30 plus commercial flocks throughout Australia and New Zealand. Andrew is a highly regarded Merino Judge as well as being the professional classer for the New England MLP sire evaluation scheme. Andrew was a successful stud breeder before transitioning into full-time classing and livestock consultation.

John Groves

John managed Trefusis for Jim and Jo McEwan for 25 years from 1987 to 2012. In his time at Trefusis John was instrumental on lifting the carrying capacity to some 30,000 DSE’s through much hard work and diligence. John is a highly experienced stockman and manager with some 60 years experience in the sheep, wool and cattle Industry. Even though John has semi-retired, his continuous involvement, advice and help is still highly valued at the Trefusis Merino Stud today.

Rob Green

Rob commenced employment at Trefusis on a part time basis in 2014 and is now a full-time employee. Whenever any work is being undertaken with the stud Rob assists, he’s very diligent and great with animals. Rob often feeds and looks after all the show sheep.

He comes to us in a consultative capacity after a long and distinguished career in the prime lamb industry with a wealth of knowledge!
